ToothPaste usage depends on
1.Age of the child
2.Swallowing ability of the child
3.Caries risk
4.Fluoride usage
Age of the child:
Below 3 years
Below 3 years of age and in non caries risk, child is adviced to use non fluoridated toothpaste
Eg:Ethiaspire toddler
In case of caries, child is adviced to use fluoridated tooth paste
Eg:GC toothmosse plus
Recommended for daily twice usage until they master the habit of spitting
Recommended size: size of a single rice grain or smear shaped.
From 3 years to 6 years
Adviced fluoridated toothpaste daily twice
In case of higher caries risk,adviced fluoride of 1000 ppm
eg Pediflor 1000
In case of low caries risk,adviced fluoride of 500-700 ppm
eg: cheerio gel, Pediflor Day and night kit, Dentoshine kids, Kidodent gel

Above 6 years
Adviced fluoride tooth paste of 1500 ppm in case of higher caries risk

If the child has dental fluorosis, content of fluoride supplementation in the form of paste should be reduced.

Enafix Pro gel -calcium phosphate derivative
Low caries risk:
1.Enafix gel- can be used in patients who are undergoing orthodontic treatment
